Fishing in River Lune (Halton & Skerton Beats) is not for classic spey or over head casters...
Is only one site of river able to fly-fishing from EA. Site tightly overgrown by trees (spinning is allowed only in high water). Few places without trees are often so busy especially in Sep & Oct.
PS. when water goes down after flood, try spinning at Halton beats.
Some beats has restriction to the flys - Sekrton Fishery: in the fly only area must be unweighted fly tied on single hooks of max gape 12mm.
.
.
But private - strictly private other site - Beware! Don't put fly after middle of the river! - is a "bit" different. Over there are all fish, as a river is deeper, and owners can do any think they want (fishing with shrimps and spinners in low water)
Hint: When you cast for long way with heavy bait remember to stop gently line before it get water. Then you don't frighten away fish, and can get in tight lines (with explosion of water) automatically after put bait on surface - as I had :))
Place and date: River Lune (Halton - Lower Beat)

Bite: Tobi - Copper 10/12g
